Brighton Community Education’s Enrichment Program offers
a wide variety of summer camps for kids of all ages. They
strive to offer fun, affordable educational classes and events
that will strengthen the body, mind, and spirit.


2D Video Game Design Camp - Ages 8-15
During camp, students will learn how to make 2D computer
games, design a basic computer video game, and learn computer
graphics techniques and animation fundamentals.


Activity Theme Camp - Ages 4-6
This camp is geared toward the young camper who is experiencing
the excitement of camp for the first time! Each day will
have a different theme including arts and crafts.


Amazing Trail Camp - Ages 10-17, (Advanced Riders)
Spend time riding, learning how to go through obstacles,
water, vaulting, brush piles and more. As well as hands-on horse
activities, afternoon swimming, water games and sports. Day
or Overnight Camps available.


Art Start Summer Art Camp - Ages 6-11
Everyone can be creative and enjoy the art experience!
Campers will explore sculpture, textiles, and painting while having
tons of fun.


Battle Bots - Ages 8+
Students learn to design and build their own motorized battle
vehicles that battle demolition derby style. Students will
try to flip, push, or smash their opponent’s battle vehicles.


Crazy Science - Ages 6+.
Make oozy-gooey slime, watch clear liquids magically change
color, make your own eraser and super bouncy ball, invent your
own carbonated drink, make a glowing blue concoction to examine
why fire flies glow, and much more.


Digging For Dinosaurs - Ages 3-5
In this camp your preschooler will have fun learning tons of
awesome facts about dinosaurs through songs, stories, and
hands-on activities like digging for bones and making dino
teeth.


Family Power Karate Camp - Ages 5+
An introduction to traditional Tang Soo Do emphasizing
self-defense, physical fitness, conflict resolution, team-work;
while promoting self-sufficiency and respect for yourself and
others.


Girls Creative Camp: Scrapbook and Stamp! Ages 7-10
In this four-day camp, you will create a fun mini album and learn
new stamping techniques, as well as create cards and personalized
bookmarks.


GRASP - Grades K-8th
GRASP is a 9 week correspondence program which helps students
maintain reading and math skills while on summer vacation. This is a
great summer program to do at home with your child – each weekly lesson
only takes 1 hour.


Junior Lego Vehicles - K-3rd grade
An exciting class where kids build 13 different vehicles. Vehicles
include everyday vehicles, concept cars, construction machines
and more.


Kid’s Painting Camp! - Ages 7+
This hands-on class is designed to teach kids the basics
of painting in a fun-filled environment where a different project
is completed daily.


Lego Engineering I - Grades 4-8
Working with a partner, students will cooperatively build and
modify motorized machines, exhibiting basic engineering principles.


Lego Vehicle - Ages 8-12
An exciting class where kids build 13 motorized vehicles
capped off with a final project. Some of these vehicles haven’t
even been invented in the “real” world yet!


Little Ninjas Karate Camp - Ages 4-5
This camp focuses on teaching children 8 important life
skills: Focus, Memory, Teamwork, Discipline, Self-Control, Fitness,
Balance, and Coordination.


NASA: Journey to Outer Space Camp - Ages 6-12
From our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our
solar system, this hands-on program will send our "astronauts"
on a quest! Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to
be discovered. NASA branded take-homes each day.


Outdoor Day Camp - Ages 8+ (*Must be able to ride in a car w/o a booster seat.)
Heavner Canoe vans, accompanied by Community Ed staff, will
transport our campers to local Metroparks and State Parks for hiking,
crafting, outdoor games, and picnics.


Play Time Band Camp - Ages 4-5
This camp combines open play with fitness, music, stories
and crafts that will have your kids begging to come back for
more!


Preschool Activity Camp - Ages 21/2 -3
Each day will have a different theme that includes arts &
crafts, musical activities and games. Bring a T-shirt for decorating,
a water bottle and a snack.


Red Hot Robots - Ages 7-12
You’ll learn about the inner workings of these fascinating
machines, play with super-cool robots and use your imagination
to design and build your own robot creation (to take home).


Rodeo Camp - Ages 10-17 (Advanced Riders)
Do you want to spend a week with horses? Spend 2 hours
learning to barrel race, pole bend and more and 2 hours w/
hands on horse activities. Afternoon swimming, water games
and sports! Day or Overnight Camps available.


Summer Golf Camp - Grades K-8
Your child can learn all about golf, from grip, stance and
swing fundamentals to the basic of the long game (driver and
Irons) and the short game (pitching, chipping and putting).


Summer Horse Camp - Ages 6+
Students learn about horse behavior and horse care including
grooming and how to saddle a horse or pony. Camp is
supervised and taught by certified riding instructor on safe,
gentle horses and ponies.


Summer Study Skills Camp - Grades 5-8
The difference between success and failure in middle school
is not how much a student studies, but in the effectiveness of
the student’s study skills. Give your child the extra boost they
need to succeed with this interactive summer camp.


Theatre! Acting! Improv! Camp - Grades 3-9
Theatre! Acting! Improv! Camp is back for it’s tenth season,
designed for students of all experience levels. Camp is 3 weeks
long ending with an exciting performance the last evening at
the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts.


Wild West Adventure Camp - Ages 6 and up
Campers enjoy a whole summer full of activities in one week
at the Northfork Outback! Day Camps and Overnight camps
both available. Too much fun to list!


XBOX 360 Game Design - Ages 8-15
Learn to make games like Tetris, Pac-Man, Asteroids or Bejeweled
for the Xbox 360. We teach students the game development cycle
from design to finished game. The games can be played on a
computer or Xbox 360.
