Your child will enjoy the outdoors, playing with animals, getting
loads of exercise and experiencing nature up close and personal
on their private, 40 acre farm.
Convenient and close location for all of Howell, Brighton and
Pinckney, though they have campers from all over the Metro
Detroit area and even out of state. Established in 1991, and
celebrating 19 seasons of camp, they are a private farm and
camp, which is an added safety feature to be appreciated, and
they will offer excellent references, upon request.
Campers at Crooked Creek spend every morning Monday
through Friday, grooming, learning about tack and horse care,
and riding in their 200 foot long outdoor arena. There are approximately
40 horses and ponies at the farm, including their
minature horse, Spanky, smaller than many dogs, whom your
child will absolutely love! Campers are given a riding lesson each
day on well-trained horses and ponies, and have fun playing
games on horseback. Your child will bathe horses, learn how to
harness a pony to a cart, and just generally have a lot of allaround
fun. Camp is conducted in an easy-going, yet safety
conscious atmosphere.
Ages 6 through 12 (5 year-olds are eligible if an older sibling is at camp).
