Leaps and Bounds Therapy Services will be offering several
exciting summer classes in addition to our ongoing private
physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions. Our team
of therapists will help your child to improve their skills in a fun
and nurturing environment. Leaps and Bounds is offering the
following group classes:
Ready, Set, Write!
A fun-filled, pre-handwriting program for preschoolers and
kindergarteners who are having difficulty mastering prewriting
skills such as:
Holding writing utensil, imitating simple lines and shapes,
drawing a simple person, directionality concepts such as up
and down, finger and hand strength, using a pincer grasp to
pick up small objects such as Legos and completing activities
that require use of both hands and fine motor skills.
Write On!
A multi-sensory handwriting group for children that are having
difficulty with handwriting and pre-handwriting skills such as:
Letter formation, pressing too hard or not hard enough,
pencil grasp, endurance, orientation of letters and words, tracing
and copying, and placement of letters and words on the lines.
Ready, Set, Write! and Write On! will be 10 weeks from 6-7pm
on Tuesday or Thursday evenings starting June 14th
Social Skills
A fun and active class for children to learn and understand
the complicated world of social cues and rules. Each 3 week
session will focus on different social situations.
2 times a week for 3 weeks (Tuesday & Thursday)
9:00 am - 10:00 am for 3-5 year olds
10:15 am - 11:15 am for 6-8 year olds
SESSION 1: Rules, Responsibilities, Authority Figures, June 14-July 1
SESSION 2: Making and Keeping Friends, July 11- 23
SESSION 3: Social Situations, Getting Along with Others and Everyday Etiquette, August 4-21
