Hidden within the city of Ann Arbor is a special place where a forest flourishes, salamanders dance and you can revel in the natural world. Situated on 50 acres, the Leslie Science & Nature Center provides natural science and environmental education opportunities for youth, families and adults. They offer school field trips, scouting programs, birthday parties, and live birds of prey programs. They have a summer Adventure Day Camp for age’s preschool- high school. This summer they are also offering fun programs for families.

15 permanently injured birds of prey (hawks, owls, falcons, eagle) live onsite in their outdoor enclosures and a variety of live animals including frogs, snakes, rabbits, salamanders and other critters live in our critter house. The raptors are viewable 7 days a weeks during daylight hours. The critter house is open on Saturdays 5-7pm and Sundays 12-3pm. There is over a mile of walking trails through the woods and beautiful grounds to have a picnic.

Walking the trails and visiting our live birds of Prey in their outdoor enclosures and our critter house during open hours is FREE. Programs are fee based. Please call or visit our website for a complete listing of programs

June 12th Joe Reilly's Lets Go Outside Fundraising Concert, 3-4:30pm, $10/person-
This fundraising event features an outdoor concert by Joe Reilly as we celebrate the beginning of summer and summer camp! Joe is releasing his new children's album, Let's Go Outside this spring. For all ages.

Saturday July 9th Wizarding World of Wildlife 1-4pm for grades 1-5th, $20/child

Saturday July 23rd Cast Iron Chef Outdoor Cooking 4-6 p.m. for all ages, $8/person or $30/family
Join LSNC’s Cast Iron Chef to prepare delicious snacks utilizing various methods to cook over, under and within a cozy campfire.

Saturday August 20th Explore with Me-Playgroup 10-11:30am for ages 1-5 years with a caregiver, $7/child
Get outdoors with your toddlers and preschoolers for a morning of exploration and outdoor fun. Visit the Critter House, meander past our birds of prey, and hike through the forest to discover the wonders of nature.
