
YMCA Campshave a history of offering unforgettable camp experiences
that help children forge new friendships, strengthen confidence and sharpen
character. Parents know that safety is a way of life at camp and our activities
and programs are purposeful plus fun. The core values of Caring, Respect,
Responsibility and Honesty show through in their programming and activities.

Camp Ohiyesa is centrally located for Livingston and Oakland County
families on the shores of Fish Lake just minutes from I-23 and M- 59.
Offering Day Camp, Overnight Camp, Specialty Camps, Family Camps
and group rentals. Families enjoy traditional camp activities such as
archery, hiking, studying the “bog”, doing arts & crafts, playing a variety of
sports, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, interacting with the farm
animals, climbing the 50 ft. tower, trying the Giant Swing and
enjoying the delicious food. New activities include a 100’ Water
Slide into the lake, the inflatable Bounce Village, a pontoon boat
for cruising and fishing and the equestrian program including
horseback riding lessons.
Bus transportation is available from Brighton and Howell,
and free extended care for Day Camp and the daily hot lunch
are real added values. Friday night family BBQs include dinner,
skits, songs and movies.
• Day Camp programs offer 11 weekly sessions beginning June
15 and continuing until Aug 28 for boys and girls entering
grades K-8.
• Specialty Day Camps include C.S.I. Camp, Sports Camp,
Cheerleading Camp and Survivor Camp. These camps will have
specialized activities for the campers to add to the fun and excitement.
• Overnight Camp is also planned for boys and girls entering
grades 3-8 and runs July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24 and August 3-7.
• Film Camp will allow campers to work on their own movie
that will be posted to You Tube at the end of the session.
• Ponderosa Ranch Camp includes a full riding program and
barn activities for overnight campers during the above dates.
• Day Campers can register for “Saddle Club” during any of
the Day Camp sessions to learn and improve their equestrian skills.
• The Leaders Training Camp motivates and develops leadership
potential in campers grade 9 and above, the overnight canoe trip should
be great fun and give variety to the session.
YMCA Camp Nissokone is a real treasure and has become a
tradition for hundreds of families for over 90 years. Located in Oscoda
with over a half mile of shoreline on Van Ettan Lake, some call Camp
Nissokone… paradise.
Offering an adventurous program for boys and girls entering grades 3-11,
Campers will learn new skills as they make friends in the beautiful northern
Michigan woods. Activities include: archery, sports, a skate park, air riflery,
high ropes course, theater & drama, climbing wall, fencing, hiking, fishing,
horseback riding, campfires, morning chapel, zany meals and more.
Extensive waterfront programs include: swim lessons, sailing, kayaking,
canoeing, tubing behind the speed boat, water skiing and wakeboarding.
Paintball and Mountain boarding are being added for the “Xtreme adventurer”
in you.
One and two week sessions are offered beginning June 28 and concluding August 8.
• Ranch Camp is a real favorite for many who love the “Cowboy Way”. Offering one & two
week sessions, campers spend most of the day caring for, learning about and improving their
skills on horseback.
• A NEW Teen Camp week will specialize in the extreme side of camp, offering advanced
paintball, dirt boarding, midnight zipline rides, overnights and a Wakeboard/Waterski
Camp option for those gnarly campers July 25-31. Sign up early as the space is limited.
• Family Camps are available at both camps and are so popular they always fill to capacity.
The entire family can enjoy all the great camp activities, the tranquil setting and the pleasure
of wonderful meals without the mess. Camp Ohiyesa is the July 4th weekend.
Camp Nissokone offers Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
